Funding

Konbit Sante is deeply grateful for all the generous support we receive that makes our work possible. One of our core values is to appreciate the contributions of our volunteers, donors, and funders and strive to be a good steward of these human and materials assets, seeking the most benefit for the people of Cap-Haitien with all resources entrusted to us. With this in mind, we aim to maintain open and transparent communication about our finances with all stakeholders.

Diverse funding

During our 2010 fiscal year, our total revenue was $883,976. This support came from a variety of sources, the largest portions being individual contributions, in-kind contributions (primarily medical equipment and supplies), and grants.

Broad yet Efficient Investments

Over the near decade that we have been working in Cap-Haitien, the scope of our work has increase significantly. Yet we remain a relatively small organization that must make wise choices about where to invest our limited resources. Most commonly we choose to invest in promising human resources by employing Haitian staff and ensuring they have the materials and supplies they need to effectively do their jobs. Below is a chart that shows our use of funds by program area. Note that over 89% of our resources go toward supporting our programmatic work and only 11% goes towards administrative costs.
