"One of the things that have become very evident to me is the importance of working side by side, shoulder to shoulder with surgeons in Haiti. We regard ourselves first as friends, second as colleagues, and thirdly as specialists interested in improving overall healthcare and infrastructure at the hospital. These three goals define who we are when we’re talking about a collaborative effort."
